What the renowned author and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl illustrates through this quote is that, more often than not, we won't be able to control the circumstances that are presented at our doorstep. However, we possess the power and responsibility for how we respond.

This response may manifest as tolerance, by reconsidering your words before arguing with a sibling; as resilience, by getting up early after only five hours of sleep instead of hitting the snooze button; or as relentlessness, by opting to stay home and study for an exam you've failed in the past."
